Dana Stromberg

DANA K. STROMBERG ATHLETE 1996

Dana graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969.  A three-sport letterman, he participated in football, hockey and baseball.

     During his senior year, he quarterbacked the football team that set two school records and was named to the All-State Honorable Mention team.  In hockey he was a co-captain and received Honorable Mention Honors on the All- Conference team.  He was a pitcher and third baseman in baseball and was a team co-captain.

     Dana continued his football career at the University of North Dakota.  He lettered four years and was a Sioux starter for three years.  He played in the Camelia Bowl in Sacramento, California, in 1972.

     Mr. Stromberg was the recipient of the 1973 North Central Province BalFour Award, given to the Outstanding Sigma Chi College Senior in Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota and North Dakota.

     Dana holds a B.S. degree from UND and a Masters degree from Moorhead State University in guidance counseling.  He currently is a social worker for the Eden Prairie school system and has spoken at the national convention of social workers about his program for underachievers.
