Jack Erickson

Jack graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1952. He was an outstanding athlete in three sports for the Prowlers.
He was an All State Selection in football his senior year and played in the North-South All-Star Game. In hockey Jack competed in the State Hockey Tournament his junior and senior year and was named to the All-State team both years. In track, he was named the Most Valuable Athlete for two straight years at the district and regional levels. He competed for two years at the State level in the shot put, discus and as a member of the 880-yard relay team.
Jack attended the University of Minnesota where he played football and hockey his freshman year. Injured in football his second year, Jack left school and served with the U.S. Army in Korea. He returned to college and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1957.
He moved to Southern California and began work in the hospital field as director of three different hospitals from 1960 until his retirement in 1969.
Jack took an active role in coaching youth soccer and hockey in California, and his teams traveled all over the United States, Canada and Sweden. His teams won two national titles in both sports.
