Keith Anderson, a 1996 Lincoln High School graduate, earned 10 letters while participating in football, hockey and tennis and served as a captain in all three sports during his senior year.  He was named the “Most Valuable Player” in his junior and senior years in tennis and hockey and in his senior year in football. He will be remembered as an outstanding leader both on and off the field. 

 

Keith played quarterback and linebacker on the Prowlers 9-2 Section 8A runner-up squad, was one of 22 players named to the Class A Academic All-State Football Team, and was named to the Mariucci All Conference Hockey Team during his senior year. He competed in the Great 68 Minnesota High School All-Star Hockey Series and  was one of 22 high school seniors selected to play in the Chicago Hockey Showcase.  Keith was named a  Region 8AA finalist in the  Academics, Arts, and Athletics program of the Minnesota State High School League contest.  Keith experienced success not only in sports, but in other areas as well.  He was a member of the National Honor Society and participated in the Choir program for four years with the highlight being the Choir’s performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City in 1996.

 

Keith was drafted  by the USHL North Iowa Huskies Junior A team during his senior year in high school and he continued his hockey career with the Huskies.  In his 96-97 Junior A season, Keith signed a scholarship with St. Cloud State University, where he played for four years and recorded seventy-eight points.     During his college hockey career he was voted “Freshman of the Year”, was named to the WCHA All-Academic Teams, was named “Most Valuable Student/Athlete”, served as an assistant hockey captain, and played on the Huskies team that clinched a Final Five Championship title that sent them to the regionals against Michigan. He interrupted his college career when he signed a contract to play professional hockey in the ECHL with the Florida Everblades in 2001.  In his four years with the Blades he collected 137 points.  In 2005 Keith graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in Biomedical Science.    

 

Keith Anderson and his wife Marcela currently reside in Fort Myers, Florida.  He is employed with Karl Storz Endoscopy where he was selected as the 2007 “Rookie of the Year”.
