Kent Smith

KENT R. SMITH ATHLETE 1995

Kent is an outstanding student-athlete who graduated from Lincoln High School in 1973.

     Kent was a three-sport athlete who distinguished himself in track, basketball and football for the Prowlers.

     He was an All-Conference Football player, Northwest Scoring Champion in Football and Honorable Mention High School All American.  Kent made the All-State Team as a senior in football.

     Kent went on to play football at the University of Nebraska where he played in three Bowl Games for the Cornhuskers.  He was named Nebraska Defensive Player of the Game two times and the Big “8” Defensive Player of the Week.

     He is a graduate in English Education from the University of Nebraska.  He has Masters and Specialist Degrees from St. Cloud State.  Kent is presently an administrator in the Coon Rapids School District.
