Roger Williamson

ROGER C. WILLIAMSON ATHLETE/FULL COLONEL 2006

Roger C. Williamson graduated from Lincoln High School in 1952.  During his high school career he was the junior and senior class president, a member of the National Honor Society, won the Bausch and Lomb Senior Class Science Award and was a Boy’s State Representative for the Class of 1952.  He was also active in track, football and basketball.  He received an Honorable Mention in All-State Football and was co-captain of the basketball team his junior and senior years, set a season scoring record and was chosen for the region team.

     Mr. Williamson was accepted to the University of North Dakota with a basketball scholarship.  At UND he played on the basketball team and became a student of Engineering.   In 1957, he attended the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.

     After completing his education, Mr. Williamson became an Officer of the US Air Force, serving from 1957 until 1980.  During his service he was a Command Pilot and Full Colonel, and was decorated with the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star.

     Mr. Williamson graduated from Stanford University with an M.S. degree in Engineering in 1967.  Since 1980, Mr. Williamson has been working at UBS/PaineWebber as a financial advisor, the Vice President of Investments and as Branch Manager from 1988-1991.

     Today Mr. Williamson lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado with Elaine, his wife of 40 years.  The have two daughters and three grandchildren.
