Russ Smith

Russ Smith was an athlete at Bemidji State University while he was a student there. He was Athletic Director at Lincoln High School for 18 years.

     During his tenure at Lincoln, Russ helped organize booster clubs and support groups to help finance sports programs. He was very dedicated and devoted to the youth of the community. He earned the respect of students, parents and co-workers.

     Russ received back-to-back Region 8AA Athletic Director of the Year Awards during his final two years at Lincoln High School. He was also named to the Bemidji State University hall of Fame and the Minnesota High School Athletic Director Hall of Fame.
