Scott Sabo is a 1979 graduate of Lincoln High School where he lettered in baseball and hockey.  He was awarded All Section in both hockey and baseball, and All-State Honorable Mention in hockey his senior year.

 

After high school Scott attended the University of Wisconsin on a hockey scholarship.  Once he got on campus he tried out for the baseball team and was successful. He played 3 years for the Badger Hockey team and 3 years for the baseball team.  He was a member of the 1981 and 1983 NCAA National Champion hockey team. He also was the Big Ten Pitcher of the year.  In 1982 Scott was drafted by the Minnesota Twins and began his professional baseball career in 1984.

 

Scott played for the Oakland Athletics and the Cleveland Indian organizations through the 1988 season.  He also had a stint with the Melbourne Braves in Australia.

 

Scott currently runs his own business in the medical related industry and was awarded the Tiffany Award from the Red Cross for his efforts in the occupational world.  He resides in Waunakee, WI with his wife Stephanie and their son JC.
