Sid Vraa

SID VRAA ATHLETE 1995

Sid Vraa is a 1955 graduate of Lincoln High School.  He was in football three years, hockey four years, baseball four years and track two years.  Sid was on the Student Council for three years.

     Sid has been called the most complete student-athlete in the history of Thief River Falls.  An All-State Football player, he was called “the best split-T quarterback in the state of Minnesota”.

     Mr. Vraa played in two state hockey tournaments and was co-captain the year the Prowlers played in the famous “longest hockey game in the history of the Minnesota High School Hockey Tournament” playing 11 overtimes.

     He was a starter in baseball for three ears where the teams won three District Tournaments and were finalists twice.

     Mr. Vraa was a math teacher and coach at Browns Valley and new London-Spicer from 1960-1975.
